REQUIRED SOFTWARE FOR COURSE |
| |
You can use any ANSI C++ compliant compiler for homework and term project implementations.
Microsoft Visual Studio.NET C++ compiler is recommended and will be available in IE Undergraduate Computer Laboratory. Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2005
is compulsory for UML implementations and it will be also available in IE Undergraduate Computer Laboratory.
You can reach
Microsoft Visual Studio.NET and Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2005 from campuses. See Downloads
section for document explains how to install software from License Server.
UPDATE: To access the license server, you need to be within the campus. Dormitories may not have access, so the best place is the undergrad lab.
You can install directly from there, or copy the files to your external hard disk to install at home. VS.NET is at \\license\license\Microsoft\English\Developer Software\Visual Studio\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional
and and Visio is at \\license\license\Microsoft\English\Office\Microsoft Office Visio . If you plan to install at home, definitely use the iso images to create cds for Visual Studio. The other way around (without using iso images) is a bit time consuming and cumbersome.
